It is louder than the adjacent Quattro Solderpure, and has three distinct speeds vs the rheostat speed control of the Quattro. Because it’s loud, I needed close access to the switch to quiet while not in use so had to squeeze it into a location.……

I bought 2 of these and have 2 workstations set up in my lab where we do PCB soldering. Our workstations are both equipped with a microscope connected to a monitor, a voltmeter, a hot plate, a soldering iron, a heat gun, a microphone stand to hold the heat gun, and a Vevor XF180, so it's pretty crowded. The Fumeclear fume extractor is great value for the price! My facility manager was very skeptical……

This is a great soldering fume extractor. The fan generates enough suction to pull in smoke from a fair distance, and the rigid / flexible hose works well to place the intake right where it's needed. The multi-stage filtration on this item is great, and with a hepa filter it actually filters the smoke out of the air. This is worlds better than cheaper fume extractors……

It effectively eliminates all soldering and heat-shrink smells. It’s a bit loud, but on the lowest setting with the intake just above and slightly behind my workpiece, it works very well. After 20+ hours of use, I’ve had no issues. I would 100% recommend it.

It doesn't eliminate all the smell, but my garage is clear of smoke when I run this connected to my laser enclosure. Best of all fumes, smoke, soot aren't leaking into the house. My wife and family are very appreciative.

I was very surprised how well it does. I don't have to wear a mask while my Longer Ray5 20W is running. Worth the investment.

This is well worth it and I highly recommend it. It is loud but I can run it at a lower speed and still get great results.
