Digital Display Fume Extractor Control Panel – Supplementary User Guide

Written by David

Published on June 24, 2026

This guide explains how to operate the digital display control panel used in select fume extraction systems from Fumeclear. It is designed to help users quickly understand the button functions, adjust airflow, set timers, and access system status information safely and efficiently.

This guide applies to the FC-100A with Remote Control, FC-150, FC-350, and all XL Series models.

The following demonstration uses the FC-350 as an example.

1. Power ON / OFF

The ON/OFF button is used to start or shut down the machine.

  • Press once to power on the unit
  • Press again to power off the unit

When the machine starts, the system will initialize and enter the default working mode.

2. Airflow / Speed Control (S.010 – S.100)

The display shows S.010 to S.100, which represents the current airflow speed level.

  • "S" = Speed (on the digital display it may visually resemble the number “5”)
  • There are 10 adjustable speed levels in total
  • S.100 = Maximum airflow

Adjustment method:

Use the FLOW - / + buttons to increase or decrease the airflow level.

  • FLOW + → Increase speed
  • FLOW - → Decrease speed

As the speed changes, the display will update accordingly between S.010 and S.100.

3. TIME SET (Timer Function)

The TIME SET button allows you to configure an automatic working duration.

How to set the timer:

1. Short press TIME SET

2. The display shows T.000

  • "T" represents Time (it may appear visually similar to a mirrored “7” on the screen)

3. The digits will begin to blink

4. Use FLOW - / + to adjust values

5. Press TIME SET again to switch between:

  • Units (1s place)
  • Tens place
  • Hundreds place

Timer range:

  • Minimum: T.000
  • Maximum: T.999
  • Unit: Minutes
    • Maximum runtime setting = 999 minutes

The timer display on the XL series is slightly different. The prefix shown is "H", for example H.000. "H" stands for hours, and the time unit is in hours. The maximum setting is H.999, which equals a 999-hour timer

Once confirmed, the machine will operate for the set duration and then automatically stop.

4. OK / SETTING Button Functions

The OK / SETTING button is a multi-function system control key used for confirmation and status viewing.

4.1 Confirm Settings / Enter System Status

After adjusting speed or timer settings:

  • Press OK / SETTING to confirm
  • The screen will display 0000

When showing 0000:

  • All other buttons are temporarily disabled
  • This mode represents total runtime tracking

Runtime display explanation:

  • The value indicates the total operating time. As usage time increases, this value will continue to grow.
  • Unit may be:
    • Hours (newer firmware versions), or
    • Minutes (older firmware versions)

4.2 Motor Speed (RPM) Monitoring (XL series currently does not include this function)

When the display shows total runtime:

  • Press OK / SETTING again (short press)
  • The screen will switch to a dynamic value

This value represents:

  • Motor rotational speed (RPM)
  • RPM = rotations per minute of the motor

As airflow levels change (S.010–S.100), the RPM value will adjust accordingly.

4.3 Alarm Threshold Setting (Blockage Warning Sensitivity)

When the screen is displaying speed mode (S.010 – S.100):

  • Press and hold OK / SETTING for 3–5 seconds
  • An alarm threshold value will appear

(XL series can directly press and hold the "Setting" button for 3–5 seconds without entering speed mode first.)

What this setting does:

This value defines when the system will trigger a warning by activating an alarm if airflow resistance increases (e.g., due to a clogged filter or blocked hose), causing the motor speed to rise above the set threshold.

Adjustment:

  • Use FLOW - / + to change the alarm threshold
  • Higher value = less sensitive (fewer alarms)
  • Lower value = more sensitive (earlier warnings)

We will include instructions for the control panel buttons and functions in future updates to the user manual. If you encounter any issues while using the control panel, please feel free to contact us at any time.
