I use this for stain glass and soldering. Its what we call a smoke eater. It has a powerful fan that needs to pull through multiple filters to eliminate smoke. Of course its going to make some noise. I really don't find it that loud. It also doesn't need to be at the highest speed to work. Id rather hear a little fan noise then breath in the smoke. This should be about 6"-12" inches away from the source of smoke or fumes.

This little machine is a beast! All of my clients have commented on how well it works(in a salon). I should've gotten it sooner. The noise level isn't overbearing. You can still hold a conversation at a regular level. The dust and fumes are cleared within seconds.

This is a must-have for anyone using a DTF oven. We recently installed this extractor in our small office, and the difference was immediate. It significantly reduced the smell and heat produced during printing, making the workspace more comfortable and safe. If you're running a DTF setup, especially in a compact area, this extractor is an essential upgrade that helps maintain better air quality and improves your overall working environment.

I've tried the smaller fume extractors, and even at first had a "charcoal pad on a fan" ones. This unit has plenty of suction power as long as it is close to the work piece, which I've found is normal unless you buy an industrial-size machine. But I have not had to turn it up past 1/4 of the dial and it sucks in all of the solder fumes and I smell absolutely nothing. Unless you solder or weld a ton, the filters should last a bit of time, but replaements are pricey at ~$90. I'll gladly pay it to know all those chemicals from the rosin vapor are in those pads rather than in me! Overall a great machine, good build quality for sure.

The original FC-100A filter structure consisted of a pre-filter, a medium-efficiency filter(HEPA filter), and a Carbon filter, and you can purchase any of these filters individually. The new version of the filter structure consists of a pre-filter and a 2-in-1 main filter, which can also be purchased separately to replace the old HEPA filter and high-efficiency filters. They are compatible as well.
