How to Replace the Fuse in Your Fume Extractor

Our fume extractors are designed for both 110V and 220V power systems, depending on the delivery region. Each unit is equipped with a 3A fuse(and a spare one) to ensure safe and stable operation during use.

How to Replace the Fuse

Each fume extractor comes with a spare fuse, conveniently stored inside the fuse compartment near the power switch.

Follow the steps below to replace it:

Step 1: Turn Off and Unplug the Device

Ensure the unit is completely powered off and disconnected from the power source before starting.

Step 2: Locate the Fuse Box

Find the fuse holder located near the power switch on the back or side of the device.

Step 3: Open the Fuse Compartment

Use a small tool (such as a flat screwdriver or similar tool) to carefully open and remove the fuse holder.

Step 4: Remove the Blown Fuse

Take out the damaged fuse from the holder.

Step 5: Install the Spare Fuse

Insert the spare 3A fuse that is provided with your unit into the same slot.

Step 6: Reassemble and Test

Close the fuse holder securely, plug the device back in, and turn it on to confirm normal operation.

Why Does a Fuse Blow?

A fuse is a safety component designed to protect your device from electrical damage. In some cases, the fuse may blow due to:

Power surge or voltage fluctuation
Incorrect voltage supply (using 110V unit on 220V or vice versa without proper setup)
Motor overload or internal blockage increasing current draw
Sudden electrical faults during startup
Repeated power on/off cycles in a short time

When the fuse blows, the device will stop working completely as a protective measure.
