I recently upgraded my fume extractor to the FC-350 and the difference has been dramatic when it comes to the air quality in my work room. I have it tucked away under a desk and having the remote makes it much easier to switch it on when needed. The large volume filters last much longer than the smaller unit i was using and the volume of air that it moves easily pulls the metal particles out when I work on brass with my fiber laser. I'm now looking at a second unit for my CO2 laser!

I was looking for a reasonably priced solder fume remover/extractor and this does the job.

I was pleasantly surprised at how big the filters are (1 thin and 2 really thick ones). It has decent suction and on the low setting is fairly quiet.

I have an engraver and my lung disease could not take all I did to try to mitigate the fumes till now!
The air this extractor is a sweet smell, literally. Completely erraticates the toxic fumes.

Works perfect, no smell, no fume, good sucking flow.

Small enough for my work space but work great when I have it close to my engraver. I only use half the power and it’s made a big difference. I tested the filter usage, once it got pretty dirty, I washed it and reused it over as a test. It does Come with extra filters. The hose is sturdy but flexible to stay exactly where you want it to stay. Overall this is a good product. Worth the money. Only wish I would have gotten the next bigger size as I increase my machinery. .

This product is a high-end, strong fume extractor for a laser engraver. This product works perfectly with my laser engraver machine. Previously we relied on a fan in the ceiling to extract toxic smoke and fumes. This machine really makes a whole world of difference. We no longer wear masks or gag in our work are when we use the laser engraver to customize our jewelry items.The filter is very high quality and advanced. The suction power is high yet the noise level is very low. This is a commercial-grade fume exhauster that works great.I highly recommend this product because it is made extremely well and is a fantastic value for the money.

As a hobby welder, machinist and general DIYer with limited time for my passions during the day, finding a versatile air filtration system that allows me to work in my garage at night without disturbing others was paramount. My search led me to the FumeClear FC-2002A, a fume extractor that promised to meet my specific needs. In this review, I'll share my findings based on tests conducted on the noise level, suction power/filtration, and overall ease of use.Noise Level:The FumeClear FC-2002A performed admirably in terms of noise levels. At its lowest speed, the extractor registered approximately 65 decibels, which allowed for normal conversations without the need to raise your voice. At maximum speed, the noise level reached around 85 decibels, while it is acceptable in a workshop environment you wont be able to have a conversation without next to the extractor without speaking louderSuction Power / Filtration:To test the suction power and filtration capabilities of the FumeClear FC-2002A, I pushed it to the limit by using it during welding sessions. While it's important to note that this extractor isn't specifically designed for heavy-duty welding tasks, it proved surprisingly effective in keeping my garage smoke-free during small welding jobs and prototype tack welding. The air quality meter initially showed high readings due to the intense welding, but as I continued using the extractor after welding, the readings significantly decreased. For more intensive welding tasks, a dedicated welding fume extractor will still be necessary, but the FumeClear FC-2002A can be a reliable solution if you are just tacking or prototypingWhen used during machining on a lathe, the FumeClear FC-2002A demonstrated its efficiency in capturing most, if not all, of the cutting oil smoke when positioned within 6 inches of the work. The sturdy gooseneck provides reliable positioning, although a slightly longer gooseneck would be beneficial, particularly when using the extractor at workbench height. The timing and lock button doesnt seems to do anything tho.Pros:- Impressive suction power at max speed, capable of handling machining and light MIG welding tasks.- Relatively quiet operation at low speed, enabling undisturbed work in a workshop setting.- Sturdy gooseneck ensures precise positioning of the extractor during use.- Lockable casters offer effortless mobility and stability in the workshop.- Extra filters are a bonus.Cons:- The noise level at maximum speed might be bothersome for some users.- The gooseneck could be longer, especially when used at workbench height- Kinda pricey for budget-conscious buyersIn conclusion, the FumeClear FC-2002A is a powerful and efficient fume extractor that suited my needs. This is a powerful and easy to use, fume extractor. The handles on top and wheels on bottom make it very easy to move and maneuver. There are multiple layers of good quality filters inside the unit. Unfortunately, ours arrived with a substantial dent and crack along one side. Luckily, it appears to only be a cosmetic issue. Overall, this is a good quality product that works very well in our 3D printing and laser engraving room.

Like the size, not super nosy, works really well with acrylic nail fumes.

I tempered my expectations, but this looked a little bit more suitable for electronics than the similar unit Dave from eevblog reviewed so I thought it would work in any case. From that video, I prefer this one and it's a great value. The build quality is high, size is compact for what it is, hose holds well and has two nozzles, sound level is fine, and it came with 10 prefilters (which they cleverly used as side padding in the package).I don't know how it compares to the $800+ units but I think the only major advantage of any other filter machine might be in filtration media which you could experiment with yourself on this power unit. It would be a massive leap up from those desktop fan things in any case.

This extractor is very, very well made. There is even acoustic foam lining the bottom where the fan is. It's also fairly quiet for this kind of machine! The suction is slightly less than you'd expect for its size. However, positioning the hose properly goes a long way to help pull the fumes away. When I got the position right, there was no smell in the air as I soldered. When I first started to use it, the overload alarm was going off even without the hose attachment! I contacted support and within a day, they had not only sent me instructions but a quick video on how to set the alarm threshold. For anyone else with this issue, here are the instructions they sent1. Turn[ON/OFF]2. Press[OK/SETTING] for a while3. Adjust the [FLOW-/FLOW+] FLOW-: More Easy to alarm and FLOW+:Hard to alarm4. After that, press[OK/SETTING]5. Restart the machine

This fume extractor does a great job pulling in solder and glue fumes. The filters work well, I don't smell anything coming out the other end. The flexible tube is stiff but easily adjusted, reaching all the way from the floor to the top of the desk. The box is small enough to fit under the desk without getting in the way. The unit is fairly quiet, but it does make some white noise in the background. A pair of noise cancelling headphones will do the trick. I definitely should have invested in one of these earlier. At the very least, this system keeps the fumes out of your eyes and lungs.Edit: The motor and control board eventually failed on my first unit within about 6 months. The company Fume Clear sent me a replacement unit and we got back on track.
