Fantastic Machine... Well worth the money.

I have had the FumeClear FC-2002A fume extractor for about 5 days now. I wish there were more stars for me to use. It is by far and away the best extractor for my laser. I had two others... they were expensive JUNK that I returned... but this one meets and exceeds all my needs and expectations. My shop use to fill with wood burning smoke now you cannot even tell my laser is cutting. The size is very compact and it does not weigh a ton. It is a little noisy but no more so that the fan on the laser. I have been telling everyone about the quality of the machine and how its made a difference in my shop. I had a little scare.. I have been using it for about 15 hours and it stopped. However with just a quick read of the instructions... I found it to be a blown fuse... which they included and extra.... now... who does that. I was back up and running in minutes. The extractor has great suction and throws out nice clean air. As you can tell I highly recommend this unit for anyone with a laser.

Strong suction, quality build

This fume extractor works great with my 30W fiber laser. It's about the size of a 13-gallon trash can and can be tucked away easily. The long adjustable suction piping is also easy to manipulate and holds its position well. The suction is strong enough at the 3rd or 4th setting to quickly suck up any metal particles that may be ablated away. After a full day of doing deep engravings, the first-stage filter had a fine coating of metal dust; thankfully, they provide a bunch of those. The larger filter section is easy to remove and replace as well.The extra outlet at the bottom is a great addition for more noxious materials that you'd want to pipe out of your workspace. I found the filters do a good job of reducing smells, but they won't go away completely. It can be slightly noisy at full blast, but I found the 3rd setting provides enough suction while also being relatively quiet. The all-metal housing is also very nice.It's not the cheapest extractor out there, but I think it's well worth the money for anyone looking for a high-quality fume extractor at a competitive price.

Yes, the package includes the exhaust hose. The exhaust outlet diameter is 75mm.

The power button keeps flashing. Is this normal?

Yes. A flashing power button indicates the unit is in normal standby mode.

My FC-2002A came with 5 pre-filters. Should I use all 5 at once or only one at a time?

Only one pre-filter should be used at a time. The additional pre-filters are replacements for future use.

Can this unit be used in New York State?

Yes. The FC-2002A’s external exhaust design allows it to vent air outside, helping meet New York State ventilation requirements for nail salons and similar applications.

How often are main carbon filters and medium hepa filters generally replaced?

If used normally, our Industrial-Strength Carbon Filtration main filter generally needs to be replaced only once in 8 months to 1 year. The glass fiber hepa-filter is generally changed once every 3 months to 6 months.
