Fumeclear® FC-2001S Soldering Fume Extractor

Overall a great product to remove fume without having to rely on large machinery and equipment. What makes it so good is the size of it, as it is small enough to fit anywhere and the noise as well is not too loud to cause issues, which makes a decent product for its price and size. Defiantly recommended if you want to remove fume with something that doesn’t take up much space.

I don't have much space available in my desk and i needed a fume extractor for when i am soldering the working area is abit limited but the unit is compact and fits ontop on my desk behind my 2 screens. It needs to be accessible for the power button and speed control because the unit doesn't have any remote capability Overall im happy with my purchase

The device is simple, straight forward. Fits easily on top of a desk with various suction force settings. Great price point and great device so far.

I’ve been really happy with this fume extractor. In fact, I liked it enough that I ended up buying a second one. I use both of them to help extract fumes from my 3D printers, and they’ve been doing a great job.

One of my favorite things is the size. They’re compact, easy to place, and don’t take up much space. They also do a great job of removing most of the odor, which has made a noticeable difference in my workspace. Having three fan speed modes is another nice feature, although I almost always keep mine on the quietest setting.

If I could change one thing, it would be the noise level. Even on the lowest setting, I wish it were a bit quieter. I’d even be willing to sacrifice a little of the compact size if it meant using a larger fan that could move the same amount of air with less noise.

Overall, though, I’m very pleased with these units. The fact that I bought a second one says a lot. If you’re looking for a compact fume extractor that works well, I’d definitely recommend it.

First of all, the packaging was very well done and the shipping time was very fast. As for the unit itself, everything seemed to be good quality. The biggest issue I had was using the unit for something it wasn't intended for.I attempted to use the extractor with my 30w fiber laser, but after two jobs, the filters looked like what you see in the photos. During the middle of one jof the tasks, the extractor stopped extracting and the pre filter has to be changed.Moral of the story, if you want an extractor from this specific brand to use with a laser engraver, be sure to get one of their larger models that can handle it.Would definitely consider them for future purchases.

I originally bought this to use with my xtool f1 laser engraver. It’s definitely made a difference with the fumes I get from different materials I engrave. With the fumeclear, the fumes are nonexistent! I don’t smell a thing. My home won’t be smelling like a campfire anymore

This Fumeclear is the perfect size for my small bench and keeps my work area free of toxic fumes. Wish I had gotten it sooner. I would definitely recommend.

I have a very small office where I create designs to laser engrave, the laser and FC-350 unit also sit in this office, the unit is fantastic at keeping the room air clean, no smells, I highly recommend this unit for anyone who has a small Fiber Laser engraving business..

I was looking for a reasonably priced solder fume remover/extractor and this does the job.

I was pleasantly surprised at how big the filters are (1 thin and 2 really thick ones). It has decent suction and on the low setting is fairly quiet.

I liked it so much I created a YouTube video with a quick review.

I use it for my BGA machine with large chips so a lot of flux smoke when desoldering. It works great!

The units are fine, but are quite noisy.

I wouldn’t mind that if it was efficient at extraction but find you have to have the nozzle very close to the workpiece.

Which comes to my last point. The hose isn’t very rigid so it drops down and doesn’t really stay where you want it to.

Works wonderfully for my home soldering station. Noise isn't obnoxious. This is a nice size to put on the windowsill and aim down at the bench. I feel safe with this fume extractor work all day. It has double filters.
