This Fumeclear is the perfect size for my small bench and keeps my work area free of toxic fumes. Wish I had gotten it sooner. I would definitely recommend.
In 2023 I started burning original art work into wool hats. I am one of the first to move this form of art into the fashion community. Burning into wool will bring you back to branding days on a ranch. Currently we travel across the United States doing live burning. I needed to find a fume extractor that was quite and efficient. It needed to take care of the smoke fumes to protect everyone and also to protect other vendors merchandise. It now goes everywhere with us and allows us to burn and keep the area healthy for everyone. I love it.

I use this fume extractor during keratin treatments and it works very well. It significantly reduces fumes and makes the procedure much more comfortable for both the stylist and the client. The only improvement I would suggest is making the black intake nozzles a bit larger. A wider hood-shaped attachment would help capture more of the smoke and prevent fumes from escaping around the sides. Overall, it’s a great machine and very useful for salon work.
I have been using the XL300 with my CNC laser setup for the past year. I originally started with the ducting on the back side of the laser which actually had enough power to extract the fumes and off-gasses from the laser. However, as I have expanded to bigger projects and the gantry was moving more I decided to build an enclosure with the exhaust evacuated at the top and back. This allowed for me to run the XL-300 at half speed. I can note that with the system operating I definitely cannot smell any fumes while the machine is running which is great! I highly recommend this unit.
The unit operates extremely quietly which is great. It is so quite I often forget to shut the system machine off after I have had a production run.
The unit is nice and compact which doesn't take up too much area in my shop which is a bonus.
The only down side from this was that when I received the machine, one of the casters was missing so it has a slight lean to it. I do not believe this was the fault of the manufacturer but more of the shipping as the box was a little beat up and there was a hole in the bottom corner when I received it.
I work in a nail salon, and the dust and odor from the nail products used to overwhelm me and my clients. I purchased the Fumeclear FC1001-A with the hope it would help at least a little bit. Well let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised. The Fumeclear cleans up the odor and dust from around my station greatly. I no longer am coughing so much my throat hurts and I don't get the headaches I used to get from all the dust and odors. If ever you wanted to invest in your health as a nail technician the Fumeclear FC1001-A is your go to air cleaner. Don't wait get this machine you won't go wrong. If there was a rating for this mine would be a 100% fantastic.
I have had this unit for 1 year now, and am happy with its performance. It is nice that the fan has multiple levels that you can run it, because at full-bore it is rather loud (and not always necessary). My only complaint is that out of the 10 pre-filters that came with it, 2 of them were cut about 3/4 of an inch too short in one direction, so they didn't fully seal in the opening of the filter housing. This isn't a complaint about the quality of the extractor, just a quality control issue.
I purchased this for use with a fiber laser, and planned to do heavy burning/ablation of steel & brass. Be aware that when doing this, you go through pre-filters FAST. I could only run the laser for about 3 hours before noticing a decrease in suction from the fume extractor. After 8 hours, I needed to replace the pre-filter, as it was utterly clogged with particulates. This is GOOD, because it means it was very effective at trapping dust that would have otherwise gone into the air, and been breathed in. Just be aware that if you plan to do this kind of laser work (depth map engraving on brass coins, etc.), stock up on a LOT of pre-filters.
Overall, I highly recommend this unit.
I have a very small office where I create designs to laser engrave, the laser and FC-350 unit also sit in this office, the unit is fantastic at keeping the room air clean, no smells, I highly recommend this unit for anyone who has a small Fiber Laser engraving business..
I have just received my first set of replacement filters for the FC-2004 and can say that the unit functions as new. I was amazed at how clean the inside of the unit was when I changed out the filter set for the first time. Extremely heave powder coated burning had pretty much filled the HEPA filter but the carbon filter still looked mostly clean. When I removed the full set, the bottom of the frame and the fan blades were absolutely clean.
For my particular application on my 60W CO2 laser (Epilog Helix) I would not hesitate to purchase this filter again and I certainly recommend it to anyone with a similar application. I also do a lot of 3D printing in the same area as the laser engraver and I occasionally will turn on the filter system and leave the top of the laser open to collect any fumes or particulate matter that may be emitted by the 3D printers. I have a smart home PM sensor that will occasionally alert me of the air quality and I find that running the FC-2004 will quickly bring the air quality back into check. This also is the case when using isopropyl alcohol in the room. That will quickly trigger air quality alerts and the FC-2004 will remedy that as well. I don't think I could be more pleased with my purchase for my specific application, and look forward to the FC-2004 being in operation for years to come.
The FC-350 laser extraction system has been performing exceptionally well in our production environment supporting metal engraved tags for enclosure assemblies. Compared to our previous unit, this system provides significantly higher airflow, which has noticeably improved fume and particulate capture at the source. One of the most immediate benefits has been the near-complete elimination of odor during laser engraving, particularly when running high volumes of anodized aluminum tags. Overall, the improved extraction efficiency has contributed to a cleaner work area, better air quality, and a more consistent and comfortable operating environment for production personnel.
The attached video shows my FC-350 fume extractor working alongside my laser cutter. This machine has worked well for the last year. The airflow indicator light is a useful reminder to check and change filters. The CFM from the draw fan has been adequate to keep the laser cutter enclosure clear. If I invest in another laser machine, I'll most likely buy another FC-350 to handle that load as well. Thank you for making a reliable product.
I have been using the FumeClear FC-2004 personally for quite a few months now. I originally purchased the unit as part of my home office redesign, where I was converting a single large room into two separate rooms. Part of the redesign included moving my Epilog Helix 60W laser from one side of the room to the other side. This was a bit challenging because in the original location I had installed direct ventilation to the outside. I did not want to continue direct ventilation in the new location, so I knew that a good air filtration system would be necessary. I'm very familiar with various laser engraving applications and I wanted something compact, economical and I wanted replacement filter media that was affordable and could be easily changed out. I needed a filtration unit with a good pre-filter system to collect the larger particles, keeping the HEPA and the carbon filters from becoming prematurely clogged. It was also important that the filter unit had the ability to vary the extraction power.
These requirements were top of mind as I began my search. I quickly ruled out the brands I was already familiar with, and did not find any economic reasons to attempt to build my own filter system. It was soon that my research led me to FumeClear. I found a few YouTube videos of various filtration options that made me believe that the FC-2004 should be my next filtration unit. I purchased the unit and was amazed at how fast the unit delivered. The unit was packaged well and included two packs of pre-filter media, which was something that I knew I would be wanting to change out whenever I felt the need. I experimented with a few connection methods to my laser using the silicone cones that were included but I ultimately designed and 3D printed my own attachment (photo included below) that worked perfectly for my laser and my filter placement choice. The connection is snug and allows no smoke or fumes to escape while traveling to the filter unit. The unit was happily in use in my home office for several months before putting it to the ultimate test.
My full-time job is in a facility where we laser engrave thousands of powder coated items per day. During our peak season we were engraving around 6,000 units each day and I decided to bring my little FC-2004 to work to help with the filtration as a supplemental fume extraction system. While the FC-2004 would certainly never work for this particular application alone, the help it provided in clearing the smoke was immediately noticed! I kept the FC-2004 at my work during the busiest two weeks, knowing that this application and volume would completely kill my filter media. To my surprise and amazement, when I brought the FC-2004 back home I immediately took out the filters fully expecting a deep clean to be necessary. As I suspected, the HEPA filter was quite clogged, but this was after filtering the smoke from well over 20,000 engraved powder coated items. When I pulled out the HEPA, the carbon filter showed a slight amount of particulate around the edges of the filter, but it seemed like it was fine. When I removed the carbon filter to access the bottom of the unit where the fan resides, I was amazed to find the unit completely clean. Absolutely spotless! At this, I decided to vacuum the top of the HEPA filter and assembled the filter pack back into the FC-2004 with a fresh pre-filter. To my amazement, the filter has continued to function quite well even with the mostly clogged original HEPA filter still in place.

I bought this after using an inline fan for two other lasers. It was getting cold out, and I upgraded one laser, so was looking for a better solution. This one was it. It's much quieter than my inline fan, and it does a fantastic job of keeping the smell out of my office area. The filters last a good long while. My Bolt runs pretty much all day everyday, and I'm only on my 3rd prefilter. The cost to replace the set of filters is reasonable, so I have a set on hand for when it's needed.
I am a hobbyist solderer and also dabble in 3d printing. I do both in my office inside the house. The FC-350 has been tremendous with eliminating fumes from these operations in not only my office but throughout the house. I highly recommend.
As someone with limited workshop space, its small footprint was a major point, but the real surprise was the powerful suctionit captures nearly all the smoke and leaving almost no odor in the room. Now, I can work for hours in a clear, comfortable environment. The multi-stage filtration system is well-designed, with five replaceable pre-filters that help extend the life of the main filter. Highly recommended for hobbyists and small studios!"
Upgraded smoke extraction to FC2004 for Ikier 48 watt laser. Now no smoke escaping into shop, as extraction capacity is higher than smoke produced, especially when cutting plywood. Previous extractor was suitable for my previous 10 watt laser. Now my eyes don't burn from smoke, and my clothes don't smell smoky when I come into the house. Fumeclear is quiet--the fan on my laser enclosure is much louder than the FC2004. Easy to install as filters in place. Just remove protective plastic and connect flexible tubing to port on enclosure or to hose end collection port.
